A Shadow Series audio cable for Fostex T20RP, T40RP & T50RP headphones, by OIDIO SOUND. The headphone end connector is a gold-plated 3.5mm angled jack, and comes with black heat shrink strain relief over the plug body.

Our Shadow Series cables are a budget friendly and non-audiophile grade of cable, with a more basic design that is aimed at anyone with low to mid-range headphones that just wants a simple cable with a practical difference to the stock one, such as a different length or source connector. It is made with a 4-core 24awg copper wire cable that is coated with a dual layer of PVC: one part is the individual coating around each wire core, and then a second black coating is on the outside. We cut this to length and terminate each end with the connector(s) of your choosing. For single-end cables such as this (cables without a y-split), we are not offering any customisation options beyond length and source connector, so they will come only in black PVC coating as

Things to note:

• This is not an audiophile grade cable, hence the lower price, if you require an audiophile grade cable please see our other series of cables.
• The PVC coating is relatively flexible, but being a polymer based coating it is more microphonic when it comes to 'knocking' type microphonics than cord sleeving, as it cannot cushion impacts as well (for example into a desk). It does however offer good microphonics of the 'rubbing' type as it is very smooth.
• Longer lengths will sound more warmer/rounded because of things like greater capacitance and antenna effect. Therefore please be aware that if you order a length longer than your existing cable you may notice the sound is less clear or more round/warm by comparison, as the signal has further to travel as is affected more by antenna effect etc.

All our cables are soldered using lead-free silver solder (4% silver) to ensure the best quality joins for both signal and strength. The example images on our listings are as a guide only; any and all cables purchased may look slightly different to these example images. The Shadow series cables are offered with a standard 12-month warranty.
